New Zealand Nursery Survey
What’s happening across New Zealand’s nursery sector? The New Zealand Nursery Survey released earlier this year provides a useful snapshot of how native and exotic plant nurseries are producing, supplying and responding to demand across the country.
With responses from 127 nurseries, the survey covers everything from production volumes and growing methods to workforce challenges, demand and anticipated production. For anyone involved in parks, restoration, planting, procurement or open space planning, it’s a useful resource for understanding the capacity and challenges within the nursery sector.
A particularly useful read for anyone planning planting programmes or thinking about future demand for native plants.
